Our company the IKR Production Development and Commercial Corporation celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2003. However the story has started earlier.

Dr. Róbert Burgert who managed the Bábolna State Farm quickly realized that a well organized accuracy is needed in the agriculture just like in the industry. For this reason he launched the industrial stock-raising systems. Later when the feed supply problems became obvious he established the CPS, the first crop production system. The English name - Corn Production System - reflected the idea of an industrial-like organization. |
 |
The CPS Joint Venture changed its name to the Hungarian IKR 'Közös Vállalat' (Joint Venture) in 1975 where the name still indicated the idea of the industrial corn production system. We kept the 'IKR' name since then despite the fact that besides the corn the wheat, sunflower and rapeseed has become a 'system crop', as well.
